How do you know if you have bedbugs? 

Bed begs are hard to spot and you want to find then early. But, according to the EPA, early, low-level infestations are also very challenging to find and identify. Up to 50% of people with bedbugs will not know it. However, there early warning signs, some of which are reliable and some of which are not. If you see these signs call us for a free bed bug inspection. Early warning signs of bed bug infestation are: you see live bed bugs (often hard to do and sometimes misidentified). You find bed bug shell casings, yellowish, translucent shells found in mattress seams, upholstered furniture, and crevices in wooden furniture. You find bed bug eggs, which are small but visible to the naked eye.  You see bed bug fecal spotting, small, dark spots that look like an ink dot from a pen.  You see something that looks like small bloodstains on your sheets, clothes, or pillow. You see small, red, itchy bumps on your arms and legs caused by bites. However, many people exhibit NO signs of bed bug bites.  A new musty odor appearing in your bedroom is a sign but typically the least reliable.

We have performed many inspections where bed bugs were suspected but were not found. Bed bugs are often misidentified because often you don’t get a great look at them. Other common pests that may masquerade as bedbugs include booklice, carpet beetles, spider beetles, baby cockroaches, bat bugs, fleas, headlice. Don’t guess!
